Return to blogging.

I rediscovered my Xanga account and decided to put all my old posts in the history books.  So for those who use to read my tales here and wonder where they went, no worries, I will pull them out from time to time for a laugh.  They are in a safe place!
Why a return to blogging?  Good question.  It's nothing I'm real determined to do daily.  When I found my site again and re-read all the old posts, I remembered how this allowed me to do some things I use to enjoy.  I use to love to write.  I found that has been lost over time without an outlet.  Second, I like to express my opinions within some limits.  I won't say everything that's on my mind, but some things it's rewarding to just put out there.  Third, I miss the community to read and respond to friends who are also out there-- some I have learned are not blogging, but maybe we'll convince them to return too.
What more can I say, it's a rainy Saturday and the hubby is off fixing homes from floating away.   Luckily we are not in Texas where Ike has ravaged homes and flooded towns.  I'm nestled in our home in Lombard, IL where John and I have turned what once was a house left by a widower needing desperate repairs and updating into a home.  It has come to be a beautiful home that I have grown to love.  We are hoping to stay here for a time, but life as I've learned never goes the way you plan or expect.  This of course is ultimately a good thing.  I was getting ready for an episode of Monk (my latest favorite TV show) but the rain has taken my satellite signal.  "Error" my TV screen reads.  No need for entertainment today.
Well that's my introduction for those who have also tuned in here.  I'll be back soon with something rather brilliant to say....
